Wadokan, which stands for "Place of Harmony", is the home of the Indiana Kyudo Renmei. It is our dojo, or practice hall, where instruction and practice occur. For the past decade Wadokan had been the only full-length permanent kyudojo in the United States until early in 2001 when another regulation kyudojo was opened. Wadokan can accommodate three archers standing in formation at a single time. The azuchi, or target bank, lies the standard 28 meters from the dojo proper. The free-standing structure allows members of the IKR to practice year-round.
